Dussehra, also known by the name Vijayadashmi is the culmination of the nine-days of Navaratri celebrations. It is a festival that marks the victory of good over evil. On 7th October 2024, at SPSRN, class 2G presented a special assembly on the occasion of Dussehra. Students enacted the key scenes from the Ramayana, focusing on the battle between Rama and Ravana and the message of truth and righteousness. They explained the importance of Dussehra in a few lines highlighting the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana and the symbolic destruction of evil, and on the significance of Dussehra and how it inspires us to defeat the evils within us, like anger, greed, and ego. This famous story of Onam was displayed through a wonderful skit by the Blue House students. Onam is an ancient and most well-known Hindu festival of Kerala, which celebrates the rice harvest. In Kerala, Onam is a long festival that lasts all year and is honoured as a holiday to honour King Mahabali. Onam commemorates the annual homecoming of the King Mahabali. He was defeated by Vishnu as in Vaaman's avatar and banished to Pataal Lok. Onam is also an occasion to remind us of the significance of certain values like sharing, protecting nature, humility and surrendering ourselves to the almighty.

On July 1, SPS RN held its 11th Foundation Day and Investiture Ceremony. The newly elected Student Council was sworn in for the session 2024-25. To repose trust and responsibility, the council members were presented with badges and sashes in a grand ceremony graced by Major General Ajay Kumar Mahajan as Chief Guest. Ms Shilpa Kaurav, from the Police Department was the Special Guest. The Student Council led by Bhavishya Singh Bisht, the Head Boy and Ritika Chaturvedi, the Head Girl showcased a spectacular march past with perfect precision and elegance. The school management felicitated the students of classes XI and XII , session 2023-24 for their academic excellence with scholarship cheques and appreciation letters. Scholarships worth more than 8 Lacs were given to the deserving students. The school's choir performed a soulful rendition while the dance troupe presented a classical fusion dance that mesmerised the audience. But its only recently that we have come to understand that the environment plays a more crucial role in the growth and development of an individual than his or her genetic make-up. Orientation programme, for parents of class Nur-II
Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar organized an orientation programme on 1st and 2nd April, for parents of (Nur-II) to familiarize them, “as partners in progress” with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities. The Orientation began on a thought that was as follows: “A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.” Welcoming parents to the new academic session, Ms. Ashwini Hardikar Headmistress Nur-II spoke at length about the benefits of effective communication between parents and teachers; she laid emphasis on a strong connection with the school patrons. The skit revolved around vital rules to be followed on the road. The students presented some of the key traffic rules in a very accessible and engrossing way. The concept of the traffic signal lights, the danger of using mobile phones while driving, following sign boards like stops, no horn, etc. and using the pedestrian crossing were explained. The message was delivered very efficiently and effortlessly, as each student understood the importance of traffic rules and the dangers of overlooking. The De-Code was held on 5th July 2023 for IX-XII segment and lasted for 1 hour. The duration was carefully chosen to allow participants ample time to work on the given problem statement. Participants were required to submit their solutions within the stipulated deadline. Assessment was based on various criterias, such as correctness, efficiency, code readability, and adherence to programming best practices. After careful evaluation, the top-performing participants were selected as winners based on their solution's quality, efficiency, and adherence to the evaluation criteria. Tejas Sharma of class IX D stood first, Ajant Surve of IX B second and Karan Jalan of IX D third. The coding challenge aimed to engage students in a practical coding exercise, test their problem-solving skills, and foster their interest in computer programming. Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar conducted Youth Parliament under the aegis of Pandit Kunjilal Dubey, National Parliamentary Academy Bhopal. The session was witnessed by Ms Sheela Patidar Councilor, Ward no 52 and Mr Rambabu Patidar, as the Chief Guests. The panel of Jury included Dr Pratima Yadav, Director, Pt. Kunjilal Dubey National Parliamentary Academy, Mr Punit Shrivastava, Director MP Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, Ms Bharti Shrivastava, Asst. Director, Directorate of Public Instruction. Politically conscious Sagarites from classes IX – XI dressed as future leaders participated and depicted a session of Vidhan Sabha. The session commenced with oath of the ministers followed by obituary reference and introduction of new ministers. In the QUESTION HOUR, Member of Legislative Assembly raised their issues and questions on bad roads, education related issues and environmental pollution. Important Legislative Procedures of the house like Adjournment Motion and Zero Hour Question were also enacted with presentation of session papers regarding annual accounts of various departments submitted to the Speaker. The House was adjourned after the National Anthem. The Chief Guest and the Jury Members greatly appreciated the efforts of the Sagarites for presenting an enlightening session on functioning of the Youth Parliament.

Moot Court is basically a mock court in which law students argue hypothetical cases for practice. It is to make students familiar with the oral proceedings that take place in real courtrooms. Students presented a hypothetical case and took on the role of either the appellant or respondent. Christmas Celebration By Class KGI-D students
The much awaited festival of Christmas was celebrated with fervor and zeal by class KG-I (D) on 22nd December, 2022. The students presented a spectacular and colourful assembly. The students recited poems and performed a drama on the birth of Jesus Christ. The little ones dressed in white and red, spread the feeling of cheer and joy amongst all present there. The children were filled with joy and excitement as Santa came dancing to the tune of Jingle Bells. Children enjoyed making snowman with clay on the occasion of Christmas. Educational Trips To ‘Yodhasthal' & 'Science Center'
Educational field trips are some of the most memorable and enriching educational events that students experience in their life. With a aim of creating a joyful learning environment through experiential learning Sagar Public School Rohit Nagar organized educational trips for the young sagarites on December 22nd educational class VI visited Science Center where they witnesses the mesmerizing constellations, they also witnessed models related to energy, light, atmosphere and mechanisim. The cherry on the cake was a 3D movie on aquatic life which was a thrilling experience. Classes IX and X visited the different sections of the War Museum at ‘Yodhasthal’ which has preserved historical tanks, arms and weapons used in various wars, including Operation Vijay and Indo-Pak War. Students visited the six sections namely Preksh Grah, Parichay, Avishkar, Astra Shastra, Alpahar, and Swagat Kaksh. Preksha Grah is an audio-video center where short films of Military historical value are screened. It offers a great opportunity to learn about the modern Indian Army and their devotion to protect the nation. The museum had an exhibition of arms and ammunition used by the Indian Armed forces, the museum provides engrossing knowledge about the victories and war stories of the Indian Army which enthralled the students and teachers alike.

ASPIRE VISIT TO IIM INDORE “Anything which is extraordinarily good cannot be achieved so easy.” Said Colonel(Dr.) GURURAJ Gopinath Pamidi , the Chief Administrative Officer of IIM Indore while addressing the aspiring young Sagarites. As part of inculcating career knowledge in the Sagarites, an Aspire visit was organized to IIM Indore on 21 December 2022. A team of 30 students escorted by three teachers explored the campus which is spread across193 Acres. It was a worthy day for the students who are interested in doing higher studies in the acclaimed institution. They got the information regarding different courses and programmes organized by the world class institution. They visited the sports complex, residential area and the academic wing guided by Mr. Satendra Singh Rawat,the Facility Office in-charge. The students got the unique opportunity to interact with The CAO of the prestigious organization, Colonel(Dr.) GURURAJ Gopinath Pamidi. To inculcate thanks giving attitude in our young Sagarites Attitude of Gratitude activity was conducted for students of III to V. The students were asked to bring grains and stationery items from home. Some students were taken to Sagar Vidya Niketan where they distributed stationery items and enjoyed the companionship of the students there. Next the students went to SLST and thanked the support staff and labourers of SLST by donating grains. Also through audio visual aids the teachers guided young minds to be thankful for each and everything that they have bestowed by God. 7th Annual Function ‘अंतः अस्ति प्रारंभः’ The End is the beginning
The grounds of SPSRN came alive with celebration, festivity and deep reverence for the cosmos as the curtain was lifted from the 7th Annual Function on 26.11.22. The theme ‘अंतः अस्ति प्रारंभः’ The End is the beginning was beautifully depicted through a range of well-rehearsed skits and mesmerizing dances by more than 700 Sagarites on stage. The Event began with melodious rendition by the School orchestra which depicted the emergence of Anhad Naad 'OM'. Thereafter the Cosmic cycle of Creation, Preservation and Destruction was showcased in Hiranyagarbha, Lokadhyaksha and Pralaya through enthralling dances. The concept of Shakti was staged in Tridha. The programme culminated with the unraveling of the Grand Finale, in which the contemporary manifestations of this Cosmic Cycle was shown with Woman as a Creator, Preserver and Destroyer. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Darpan Vasudev, a motivational speaker from Hyderabad. The Annual Report outlining the achievements of students was cogently presented by Madam Principal, Dr. Madhubala Chauhan. The efforts of the students was well appreciated by parents who were witness to this cultural extravaganza.

The 7th Annual Function Kohum Se Sohum – The Journey to Self-Realisation. Sagarites from Classes Nursery to III presented a mesmerizing show depicting the eternal journey of mankind- the journey to self-realization. The programme commenced by seeking the blessings of the Almighty with the lighting of the auspicious lamp. The melodious rendition of the Vinayak Vandana and the dance performance set a perfect divine tone to the evening. Madam Principal Dr Madhubala Chauhan welcomed the gathering and proudly shared the glorious achievements of the Sagarites through her Annual Report. The Sagarites in their vibrant costumes dressed as the five elements depicted the formation of human beings through their brilliant performance Astita- the primordial elements. The four pillars of learning were given a unique interpretation by the students. The family, school and the society were regarded as Pariwar Sarwaswam, Medhavardhan and Anyonyashray- the three pillars, finally leading to the fourth pillar of Atma-Bodh or self-realization. The scintillating music and foot-tapping dance of the toddlers enthralled the gathering and invited exultant applause. The sublime theme of Kohum Se Sohum was effortlessly presented by the students with well-coordinated script, excellent delivery of dialogues and mellifluous music and dance performances. The Chief Guest Dr. Rajeev Agrawal congratulated the school for putting up such a splendid show and inculcating such rich cultural values in the students.

To enhance the understanding of mathematics and to develop problem solving attitude in our Sagarites, Department of Mathematics conducted an Inter- House Competition, Maths 3.0, for classes VI to VIII on 16.11.2022 wherein students presented practical use of mathematics in our daily life in the form of skits. Students were asked to identify the problem and to provide beneficial solutions for the same. All the houses showcased their skits named as "Sweety di wedding", "Soodkhor Sahukaar" , "World of Chaturbhuj" and "London Return" showcasing problem solving skills and provided effective solutions. The judges and Principal Madam appreciated the awareness and creative thinking skills of the students and the way they presented the same. Aruni House bagged the first prize. It was once again proved that Mathematics is a more powerful instrument of knowledge than any other that has been bequeathed to us by human agency.

In order to infuse experiential learning into pedagogy, an educational tour was organized by SPSRN to Sanchi for students of XI and XII of humanities group. Sanchi is India's best-preserved group of Buddhist monuments collectively designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1989. Sanchi is a Buddhist complex, famous for its Great Stupa. The monuments at Sanchi today comprise a series of Buddhist monuments starting from the Mauryan Empire period (3rd century BCE), continuing with the Gupta Empire period (5th century CE), and ending around the 12th century CE. This educational trip has given our students information regarding many areas in history and helped them to explore history of India further. This educational tour helped students to know our great heritage and culture.

Institute, through its Centre for Science and Society (CS 2 ), has organized its maiden “Open House” to provide a platform for high school and college students, teachers, parents, and industries to experience cutting-edge teaching and research at IISER Bhopal. Open House was a one-day event aimed at providing an opportunity to visit the IISER Bhopal campus and get an insight into the ongoing innovative research as well as the numerous advanced laboratories and facilities available at IISER Bhopal. This was an “Open for all” platform, where IISERB showcased its science and research prowess to the visiting public through live experiments, scientific demonstrations, lectures, and exhibitions. This exposure was supplemented with critical perspectives from Humanities and Social Sciences. Additionally, there were fun activities through which the participants interacted with faculty and student researchers. Students not only visited the state-of the –art labs but performed experiments, interacted with the research scholars and faculty members. This was a life time experience for them.

The two resource persons were Ms Nitya Telang, an alumnus of SPS RN and Ms Swastika Ganguly currently a student of NLIU Bhopal. They shared valuable and effective tips and techniques to crack CLAT and balance the academics of class 12th with the competitive exams. The students had several queries regarding legal career which were addressed efficiently. They also guided the students to achieve their future goals with greater vision and clarity. Special assembly on Diwali
Diwali, the festival of lights symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. The warm bright glow emitted from the diyas eradicates negativity and brings the zeal back into our life. The students of class III E presented a special assembly on Diwali to celebrate the spirit of the festival in its true hue and significance. The students presented a small skit explaining the significance of Diwali frilled with song and dance.

Informative program on “Stop Bullying”
The Auditorium of SPSRN reverberated with the slogan of STOP BULLYING as the teachers of classes VI to VIII of presented an informative program to make the students aware about consequences of bullying . Bullying is repeated, aggressive behavior intended to hurt another person, physically or mentally, and with the purpose of gaining power over the person being targeted. A brief introduction regarding Bullying and the role of Bully, Victim and Bystander was given by School Counselor. To make the message loud and clear the team of teachers showcased a street play wherein the consequences of bullying were depicted in a very energetic and informative way. They came to know about some renowned personalities who faced bullying in their lives and emerged out more strongly. The program ended with the pledge taken by our young Sagarites to stop the menace of bullying. A human chain was formed to spread this message. It was a nice initiative by the Team of VI to VIII to make SPSRN a bully free zone and to ensure a safe learning environment for our dear Sagarites. Respected Principal Madam appreciated the efforts and exhorted the students to conscientiously report the matters of bullying and create an environment of love, respect and appreciation in the school.

Sinco.com – Interhouse science competition for classes VI to VIII
"Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding." To enhance the understanding of science and to develop problem solving attitude in our Sagarites, Department of Science conducted an Inter- House Science Competition Scinco.com for classes VI to VIII on 12.10.2022 wherein students viewed a video depicting certain environmental issues. Students were asked to identify the problem and to provide beneficial solutions for the same. All the houses showcased their problem solving skills and provided various cost effective solutions. The judges and Principal Madam appreciated the awareness and creative thinking skills of the students and the way they presented the same. Abhimanyu House bagged the first prize and the runner up team was Dhruv House. It was once again proved that our nation is in safe hands of young and conscious sagarites.

Nobody can do what the grandparents do for the little children. The grandparents sprinkle stardust over these little stars and make them sparkle!! Celebrating Grandparents Day gives an opportunity to treasure the wonderful bond with them and honour them for the sacrifices they make , to show respect for the quality time spent together. Grandparents Day was celebrated at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar, on October 12, 2022. The students presented wonderful dances, a skit and sang a melodious song especially composed for the day. It depicted the feeling of being loved and wanted. An exciting rampwalk was done by the grandparents. The Grandparents Day was a heart touching experience for everyone.

“Reading is to mind what exercise is to body”. To inculcate reading habits amongst the young Sagarites and to enhance their vocabulary, a D.E.A.R. i.e. Drop Everything And Read activity was conducted on 12.10.2022 for the students of Classes III – V. Students brought their favourite book and sitting together along with their friends and classmates enjoyed reading activity. They shared and discussed their views and learning from the book with their classmates and teachers. Overall it was a fun filled and exiting activity for the little intellects.

‘Winners never quit and quitters never win’. On August 23, 2023 Aaruni house students presented an assembly on the topic ‘Abhinav Bindra’ at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar. The road to success is long and winding. We have to be determined to go the distance, and the presentation reminded all the students that a difficult road leads to achievements and greatness. Students performed a riveting play which conveyed that intelligence is a passive quality whereas determination is an active trait in everyone’s personality that makes them transformative, and keeps them moving forward to overcome from failures and attain fruition.

Students presented a skit on 'Diversity of India and humanity.'
“Unity in diversity is India's strength. There is simplicity in every Indian. There is unity in every corner of India. This is our strength.” The students of class VIII B at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar presented a class assembly on the topic Sadbhavna Diwas on August 18, 2023. Sadbhavana Diwas is celebrated on the 20th of August in India. It is also called harmony day and is observed on the birth anniversary of Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. It commemorates the efforts of Mr. Rajiv Gandhi for harmony and peace in society. Sadbhavna Diwas promotes harmony, peace, national integrity, unity, and empathy among all citizens of India. Sadbhavna Diwas is also known for spreading awareness about greenery, protection of the environment, and the beauty of nature. Students presented a wonderful skit to show the unity in diversity of India and humanity. Sadbhavana Diwas' pledge-taking ceremony was an important part of the celebration of the day.
