“A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people.” Mahatma Gandhi On Thursday, 22nd August 2024, the assembly on the theme 'Chhath pooja or Shashthi Puja' was conducted at SPSRN by the students of Aaruni House. The significance of Chatth puja which is a Hindu festival celebrated on the sixth day of the Shukla Paksha of Kartik month was deciphered through various acts. Students learnt about this unique folk festival, which is celebrated according to the Surya Pujan and Usha Pujan described in the Rigveda and the Aryan tradition. They were encouraged to follow the traditional practices and guidelines of Chatth Puja with respect and devotion.
