“Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now." As October 13 is observed as ‘INTERNATIONAL DISASTER REDUCTION DAY’, students from Class VII B of Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar presented an engrossing class assembly on the same. Disasters hit hardest at the local level with the potential to cause loss of life and great social and economic upheaval. Sudden onset disasters displace millions of people every year. The presentation was an effort to spread awareness among the students about causes of various disasters taking lace around them and how can they be prepared to fight them back as “The man who is prepared has his battle half fought.”
